Mitsubishi Motors Cup BE90 2018 winner Lauren Burton has been presented with her brand new Mitsubishi L200 at Scarborough’s Mitsubishi dealership, Riverside Eastern Ltd.
Lauren collected her vehicle, which she gets the use of for a year, as part of a prize package. Not only do the championship winners receive the use of a Mitsubishi Motors vehicle of their choice for a year, but they also receive prize money, a trophy and a commemorative plaque to keep.
The Yorkshire rider Lauren, who is head girl at Jean Clemmit’s Brigg View Stables at Filey rode Susan Allerton’s eight year old 16.2hh mare D Akieda to victory in May at the Badminton Estate in Gloucestershire. “Winning the BE90 at the Mitsubishi Motors Cup was such an incredible experience and having the chance to drive a brand new Mitsubishi Motors vehicle for a year is just the icing on the cake. I am always outdoors and with the horses so it really suits my lifestyle and my work,” added Lauren.
The Mitsubishi Motors Cup offers amateur riders from all over Great Britain the chance to compete at BE90 and BE100 level, ahead of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials.
