EMG Motor Group recently celebrated the launch of their redeveloped dealership in Duxford.
EMG Motor Group acquired the former Duxford Motor Group in November 2017 and took over the Mitsubishi franchise based on the A505 between Royston and Cambridge. Following the acquisition, EMG set about an extensive redevelopment programme for the Duxford site. The removal of the petrol station and shop has allowed for a large extension and a fully refurbished showroom.
The removal of the petrol filling station has also meant an increase in the number of used vehicles available to display from 14 up to an impressive 52 vehicles. This allows for a greater range of vehicles to be displayed and improved availability.
The increase in dealership size has also meant an increase in staff numbers with some new members joining the EMG Motor Group Mitsubishi family. These new faces join an already established and experienced team at Duxford and will only increase the customer experience and levels of excellent service provided.
Mark Sturgess, Dealer Principal, EMG Duxford said “There are some exciting changes here, it’s a wonderful new facility. We really look forward to welcoming customers both old and new so that we can deliver the excellent customer experience that they expect and deserve from EMG Motor Group Mitsubishi in Duxford.’’
Mark Miller, Area Manager, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK also added “The updated Duxford facility is a real attribute to our brand. The new light and airy showroom is not only substantially bigger than before but really showcases our range of models.”
There were lots to see and do during the launch event which included the display of some of the Heritage Series vehicles owned by Mitsubishi Motors in the UK. Vehicles such as the iconic Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition and the mighty Mitsubishi 3000GT were on display throughout the weekend. There was a prize draw with lots of fabulous prizes such as an England Rugby shirt signed by Dylan Hartley, pairs of tickets to an England Rugby game and an England Rugby ball signed by England Rugby Head Coach Eddie Jones, along with other gifts and giveaways. There was also an array of special offers and prizes such as off-road experiences or spa days for any customers taking test drives and buying vehicles over the weekend.
In addition, EMG Motor Group Duxford’s Mitsubishi Master Technician gave regular presentations on hybrid technology whilst a further technical team demonstrated how to carry out spare wheel changes, and how to use the modern tyre repair and inflation kits.
With so much to offer, the launch event was a massive success and we look forward to seeing how the site evolves! Keep up to date with the latest from EMG on Twitter @EMGMotorGroup
