Mitsubishi has achieved success in rallying and off road motor sport all over the world,
proving time and time again the reliability and durability of its cars. Record breaking
performances include winning the Dakar Rally ten times and the World Rally Championship for
drivers four times in succession.

This years Wales Rally GB provided the perfect outcome
for the Mitsubishi Motors UK Works Rally Team, when Guy Wilks became
British Rally Champion for the second season in a row and Mitsubishi
retained its British Teams Championship crown.

The high profile one-make series for Group N Lancer
Evolutions continued in 2008 for its ninth consecutive season. In the
course of seven events, featuring two asphalt and five gravel surface
rallies, David Bogie claimed the championship, with Nik Elsmore coming
an incredibly close second.

Dakar |

After scoring its record-breaking 12th outright victory
in the toughest test of man and machine on earth - the gruelling Dakar
Rally - in 2008, Mitsubishi were denied the chance to do it all again
this year, when the event was cancelled due to security related issues
in areas along the route. The Mitsubishi team are all set for 2009
though, with the new Racing Lancer, fitted with a groundbreaking new
diesel engine.
