Graduate Scheme
Our requirements
Each year we recruit a select number of high quality graduates who display real management potential. Good A-level grades and a First-class or 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent are desirable, relevant work experience, ideally gained in a commercial environment, would be an advantage. You will also need to be an effective communicator with a confident manner, keen to develop a broad-based career in the car industry.
Your development
Graduates are recruited as our potential managers of the future - from day one you will be adding value to our business by working in a real job, with real responsibility. Most learning will be in the form of on-the-job coaching from experienced colleagues and selected project work.
We offer the chance to experience several key areas of the business during the course of your training. As a new graduate recruit you would typically start in Customer Services to gain an understanding of our product and learn about customer and dealer needs, followed by a placement in any one of a number of departments such as:
Product Planning - helping to determine the specification and prices of the vehicles we offer.
Franchising - working with our dealer network to ensure their business is profitable.
Sales Operations - analysing sales trends and helping to plan the mix of vehicles to order from the factory.
Retail Operations - working in one of our own dealerships as part of the sales team, understanding our sales initiatives.
Marketing – assisting with the organisation of events on a local and national scale.
Parts & Accessories – monitoring parts pricing whilst striving to be competitive.
I.S – maintain a sound knowledge of all business processes and systems in use by the company.
Our scheme is highly flexible and we offer a personally tailored approach rather than a "standard" graduate career path. Placements typically last between 6 and 12 months but your progression will depend on your own performance, your career goals and the needs of the business at the time.
