Mitsubishi Motors in the UK have strengthened its dealer training academy with the appointment of Annette Baber Smith as the new After Sales Training Manager, responsible for the preparation and delivery of non-technical training, both classroom, and e-learning.
Annette joins the company with over 22 years’ experience in the motor trade with a number of various brands. Starting as an apprentice technician, Annette quickly moved through parts and service advisor roles and later up to the role of Service Manager.
Whilst working as a Service Manager in 2008 Annette completed a degree in Automotive Retail Management at Loughborough University, and went on to become Divisional Contact Manager for a large dealer group. Annette also has experience in Aftersales Manager and General Manager roles, and is a member of the IMI.
Talking about her new appointment Annette Baber Smith – Aftersales Training Manager said: “I am very pleased to be joining the Mitsubishi Motors in the UK Training Academy at this time. I have always believed that coaching and mentoring my staff is an essential part of any managerial role, and to see people grow and fulfil their potential is particularly rewarding.”

The Training Academy for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is based at the company HQ in Cirencester. The team consists of seven full time trainers and three administration staff. They run between 250 and 300 classroom courses a year complimented by a growing number of e-learning modules with over 8,000 modules completed so far in 2018. These courses and modules serve the 117 Mitsubishi dealers in the UK network, training all sales and aftersales staff including technical staff to the highest standard of quality.
